Moloch was a deity of some sort which require child sacrifice once a year or so. The children were sacrificed in a temple in or called tophet, on a hill, by putting them in the statue of the god's head, which was shaped like a cow's. the head contained a fire that burned the children alive, while preist's played tamborines and drums to drown out the screams.
also refers to the Hansel and gretel story, which i am convince is about a mother attempting to eat her children, somewhat disguised.
for you lovecraftians out there, the black goat of course refers to shub-niggurath, the creation prinicible and mother of all life or something.
i refered to the witch as goodwife, a common title for women in early english america, as the witch disguised herself as a nice old woman in the story.
btw, this is lyrics for a song which i believe will end up as progressive metal of some sort to be played at koffehaus, a monthly talent show at s&m.
